Recruitment Consultants

As a recruitment consultant at Teaching Personnel, you’re the vital link between our schools and candidates. The essence of the job is to build positive relationships with both parties to better understand their needs and ultimately make the right placement for both the school and the candidate.

You’ll join a thriving team covering a specialist school sector (primary / secondary or SEN) and will be responsible for building your candidate pool and school base across a local area in a manner that supports our values and drivers.

Lieza Akhtar- Recruitment Consultant

After University I worked as a Philosophy and Religion Teacher. During my degree I had actually completed some Teaching Assistant work through Teaching Personnel before going on to train so I knew a little about the Company.

I was attracted to join by the progressive opportunity to develop my career quickly based on meritocracy and actually my career has already progressed further than I initially anticipated! I am continually encouraged to go further which is great. I would potentially like to move into a management role in the future.

I found the selection process for the role gave me the opportunity to meet other people working in the office, a real idea of what I could expect to be doing and the kind of team I would be joining, if successful. I really like the culture of teamwork and the attitude which is promoted amongst all staff.

Natasha Moosa – Regional Manager

Before joining Teaching Personnel I worked in advertising and sales.  I was initially attracted to Teaching Personnel because of the competitive salary and working in a team based environment towards targets and deadlines.

I have relocated and worked in different locations a number of times in order to progress (Sheffield, London, Northampton, Outer London). I originally specialised in SEN but have now experienced all school sectors.  I have loved the variety offered throughout my career with Teaching Personnel.

I feel lucky to work alongside a senior management team that I trust and respect. I feel my development and progression is taken seriously and I feel stretched when I need to be, but always supported.

I believe we offer promising careers to those who have high expectations and are willing to work hard for what they want!

Ryan – Regional Manager

Over the last six years I’ve been fortunate to work my way up through the career ladder, from Candidate Consultant right up to my current role as Regional Manager.  I joined when our Manchester location was just two branches and we are now verging on ten!

The thing I enjoy most about working for Teaching Personnel is the structure and emphasis on supporting each other.  We are heavily focused on teamwork and working together as opposed to individuals all moving in different directions.

Aysun – Recruitment Consultant

I finished my degree in Education Studies and had worked for Teaching Personnel as a Teaching Assistant for a term when the opportunity to work here as a Recruitment Consultant arose.

I really like how team orientated it is here.  This helps new starters to get involved from day one.

The recruitment process can seem long but if you take it one step at a time it can end up being a pretty fast process. I got employed within a week!

I have built some great relationships with my clients and really enjoy placing my Teachers in their ‘perfect’ roles.   I love the incentives and the vibe in the London Bridge office.  I would highly recommend Teaching Personnel to anyone seeking a career in recruitment.

Lewis – Recruitment Consultant

After working for Teaching Personnel as a Teaching Assistant for three years I was looking for a new challenge and was excited by the opportunity to join as a Recruitment Consultant.  The main attraction for me was being able to pass on knowledge to candidates who are in the same place that I was.

I’ve only been here for 6 months but in this time I have doubled the business my desk was doing! This means I have already been put forward for promotion and have applied for the next, more advanced learning programme to support my development.
